Snowball

August 4th, 2007

The rich Snowball is a revolutionary cocktail. First created in the early 20th century, it marks the transition between simple, long drinks, such as whisky and soda, and “punch”-style drinks, which mix several spirits into longer cocktails.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 30ml (1 oz) advocaat liqueur
  • 30ml (1 oz) vodka
  • Sparkling lemonade (such as Sprite or 7 Up) as necessary

EQUIPMENT:

  • Stirring spoon
  • Tumbler or highball glass

MIXING METHOD:

Pour the vodka into the glass and add lemonade to two-thirds of the way up. Add a few ice cubes and then pour in the advocaat. Stir.
