June 17th, 2008

In the 1950s US oilmen in the Arabian desert used screwdrivers to stir their vodka-orange mixes, giving this cocktail its name.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Freshly squeezed orange juice to fill
  • 60ml (2 oz) vodka

EQUIPMENT:

  • Highball glass
  • Shaker
  • Strainer

MIXING METHOD:

Place ice in the shaker. Pour in the juice and vodka; shake. Strain into a highball containing some ice. Garnish with a slice of orange and cherry.
