Presidente Cocktail
February 1st, 2007
The perfect holiday mix- not too powerful, but tasty. Dubonnet gives a slight sweetness; but you could use dry Martini, in which case add a dash of sweet Martini too. The curacao is optional: the cocktail may be sweet enough for you without it.
INGREDIENTS:
- 45ml (1 1/2 oz) Bacardi white rum
- 20ml (2/3 oz) Dubonnet vermouth
- Dash grenadine
- Dash fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp curacao (optional)
- Shaker
- Strainer or mixing glass
- Stirring spoon
- Chilled Martini glass.
MIXING METHOD:
The quick method is to stir: put all the ingredients in a mixing glass, stir well, and transfer to the Martini glass. If you shake all the ingredients with ice (and then strain into the glass), you will chill them thoroughly and prevent any burning sensation from the alcohol.
