Irish Coffee Cocktail
August 8th, 2007
What better way to end a meal than with this classic cocktail? Stick to the recipe for this drink- never be tempted to use longlife cream.
INGREDIENTS:
- 60ml (2 oz) Bushmills Irish whiskey
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 150-180ml (5-6 oz) hot, strong, black coffee
- Double cream on top
EQUIPMENT:
- Bar spoon
- Toddy glass (or wine glass with firm walls)
MIXING METHOD:
First, warm the glass: fill it with hot water, leave for two minutes, then tip the water out. Pour in the sugar and whiskey, followed by the coffee. Stir. Using the back or bowl of a bar spoon, float the cream on top.
