As its name suggests, this is the definitive Italian-American cocktail. Although the textures of US Bourbon and Italian amaretto are quite different, in this mix they complement each other perfectly; the result is a big, strong cocktail, with a small, citrus kick. It is best-suited for drinking late at night.
INGREDIENTS:
- 30ml (1 oz) Bourbon whiskey
- 30ml (1 oz) amaretto liqueur
EQUIPMENT:
- Stirring spoon
- Tumbler
MIXING METHOD:
Pour the Bourbon and amaretto into the glass and stir. Add three or four ice cubes and serve with slices of star fruit lime.
