French Sherbet Cocktail

June 19th, 2007

Orange juice mixed with dry gin makes this orange-coloured cocktail a great aperitif; the tangy lime brings freshness. To add a touch of bitterness, flame an orange zest to extract its oils before dropping into the glass.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 10ml (1/3 oz) Plymouth gin
  • 10ml (1/3 oz) Cointreau
  • 10ml (1/3 oz) freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 10ml (1/3 oz) freshly squeezed lime juice

EQUIPMENT:

  • Shaker
  • Strainer
  • Chilled Martini glass
  • Lighter

MIXING METHOD:

Fill the shaker with ice. Pour in all ingredients. Shake, and strain into the glas. Garnish with a twist of orange zest.
