Bramble

August 23rd, 2007

Created in the 1980s, this cocktail is now ranked among the classics. It is great as an aperitif.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 20ml (2/3 oz) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 20ml (2/3 oz) sugar syrup
  • 20ml (2/3 oz) creme de mure (blackberry liqueur)
  • 45ml (1 1/2 oz) gin

EQUIPMENT:

  • Shaker
  • Strainer
  • Tumbler

MIXING METHOD:

Fill the shaker with ice and pour in all the ingredients except the creme de mure. Shake well and strain into a glass near-filled with crushed ice. Pour in the liqueur so that it flows through the ice. Garnish with two blackberries and a slice of lemon.
